There shall be an Election Commission of the Kingdom of Nepal consisting of the chief election commissioner and such number of other Election Commissioners as may be deemed necessary. Where other Election Commissioners are also appointed in addition to the Chief Election Commissioner, the Chief Election Commissioner shall act as the Chairman of the Election Commission.
